Jamayla Culpepper MD, MPH is a board-certified Family Physician and serves as the Vice President of Clinical Operations for Continuous Care, a nurse-led telehealth services company dedicated to providing personalized virtual care that empowers patients to confidently manage their health and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Culpepper is established in the Charlotte, North Carolina area with over 17 years of experience in both full-scope outpatient primary care and inpatient hospital medicine, providing compassionate care to individuals of all ages. She holds a Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health Degree with a concentration in health and behavioral sciences from Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Culpepper has served multiple clinical leadership roles throughout her career. She has developed operational protocols for outpatient primary care practices, outpatient post-acute care transitional programs, as well as virtual hospital at home programs. Additionally, she has designed and successfully implemented several multidisciplinary specialty clinics aimed at population health management in the areas of HIV, Diabetes, Dermatology, and Women’s health. Dr. Culpepper is devoted to promoting medical education and has trained numerous resident physicians and advanced practitioners. She has received multiple teaching awards, has been published in several medical journals, and has presented at national conferences on chronic disease and population management.
In addition to her clinical interests, Dr. Culpepper has a strong passion for public health. She actively participates in public health research, conducting community needs assessments of multiple vulnerable populations to develop intervention programs aimed at reducing health disparities, expanding patient access to services, providing health education, and improving overall community health.
