Preston Smith
President
Preston Smith is president of Continuous Care, a first-of-its kind nurse-led telehealth services company that supports patients between doctor visits and is part of the Jackson Healthcare family of companies. He also serves as president of Premier Anesthesia, a leading privately held single-specialty anesthesia practice management firm within the same enterprise. A seasoned healthcare executive with more than 25 years of experience, Preston is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
Prior to his current position, Preston built a career in healthcare law and public service. He began as a healthcare attorney representing hospitals and medical practices, where he specialized in hospital law, medical malpractice defense, physician practices, dispute resolution and litigation. He also served as a senator in the Georgia General Assembly four consecutive terms and was Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Widely recognized for patient-centered advocacy and healthcare reform, he was named “Legislator of the Year” by a spectrum of healthcare organizations,
recognized among the “100 Most Influential Georgians” by Georgia Trend, and ranked #1 nationally by the American Justice Partnership as a “National Hero” of the legal reform movement in the U.S.
Preston joined the Jackson Healthcare family of companies as president of Tyler & Company in 2016, and before holding that role, he was president of anesthesia for a national, multi-specialty professional medical service company, later serving as chief revenue officer and chief compliance officer for its parent company. Preston holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia.
Ché Frost, MHA, BSN, RN
Executive Vice President, Clinical Operations
Ché Frost serves as executive vice president of clinical operations at Continuous Care, the nurse-led telehealth services company that provides essential, personalized care support to patients between doctor appointments. In this position, she directs patient-centric care coordination services, working with health systems, hospitals and medical facilities, and oversees the development and implementation of patient care standards, processes and protocols across the continuum of care.
With more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Ché is known for her expertise in clinical operations, program development and consulting. Before joining Continuous Care, she spent nearly a decade at Elevance Health, most recently as director of health and wellness. In this position, she successfully created, launched and scaled a new clinical organization across more than a dozen states with a focus on improving health outcomes for federal employees.
Ché began her career as a registered nurse, delivering high-quality care in hospitals and medical centers in numerous states. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Missouri and a Master of Health Administration degree from George Washington University.
Jamayla Culpepper, MD, MPH
Vice President, Clinical Operations
Jamayla Culpepper MD, MPH is a board-certified Family Physician and serves as the Vice President of Clinical Operations for Continuous Care, a nurse-led telehealth services company dedicated to providing personalized virtual care that empowers patients to confidently manage their health and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Culpepper is established in the Charlotte, North Carolina area with over 17 years of experience in both full-scope outpatient primary care and inpatient hospital medicine, providing compassionate care to individuals of all ages. She holds a Medical Degree from Boston University School of Medicine and a Master of Public Health Degree with a concentration in health and behavioral sciences from Boston University School of Public Health. Dr. Culpepper has served multiple clinical leadership roles throughout her career. She has developed operational protocols for outpatient primary care practices, outpatient post-acute care transitional programs, as well as virtual hospital at home programs. Additionally, she has designed and successfully implemented several multidisciplinary specialty clinics aimed at population health management in the areas of HIV, Diabetes, Dermatology, and Women’s health. Dr. Culpepper is devoted to promoting medical education and has trained numerous resident physicians and advanced practitioners. She has received multiple teaching awards, has been published in several medical journals, and has presented at national conferences on chronic disease and population management.
In addition to her clinical interests, Dr. Culpepper has a strong passion for public health. She actively participates in public health research, conducting community needs assessments of multiple vulnerable populations to develop intervention programs aimed at reducing health disparities, expanding patient access to services, providing health education, and improving overall community health.
Robyn Smith
Chief Human Resources Officer
Robyn Smith is chief human resources officer for Continuous Care, a nurse-led telehealth services company dedicated to providing personalized virtual care that empowers patients to confidently manage their health and achieve the best possible outcomes. In addition, Robyn serves as CHRO for Continuous Care’s parent company, Jackson Healthcare.
With more than 30 years of experience, Robyn leads human resources initiatives and programs aligned with the organization’s mission of improving the delivery of patient care and the lives of everyone it touches, as well as its culture, leadership development and growth strategy. Since joining the enterprise in 2011, she has been a driving force in expanding the extensive associate professional and wellbeing offerings that Jackson Healthcare is recognized for through its Great Place To Work certification and appearance on multiple Fortune best workplaces lists.
A graduate of Kennesaw State University, Robyn serves on its board of trustees and holds advisory and executive board positions for the university’s Coles College of Business. She is also a past board chair of Connections Homes and volunteers with Open Hand Atlanta and Junior Achievement. Recognized for her commitment to fostering exceptional workplace environments, Robyn is a recipient of the “Great Place To Work For All Leadership Award.”
Leslie Kurtz
Chief Financial Officer
Leslie Kurtz serves as chief financial officer for Continuous Care, a nurse-led telehealth services company dedicated to providing personalized virtual care that empowers patients to confidently manage their health and achieve the best possible outcomes. In addition, she serves as CFO for Continuous Care’s parent company, Jackson Healthcare.
With more than 30 years of progressive experience in finance and operating roles, Leslie has deep expertise in creating systems and processes to support rapidly growing businesses. She has established a reputation for building high performing teams, and for aligning financial and operational goals to support business strategy and growth. Previously, she was CFO at MedQuest Associates, a subsidiary of Novant Health, where she led the financial, revenue cycle and strategic planning activities of the business. Leslie also held senior leadership roles at Arthur Andersen & Co., Coca-Cola Enterprises, Irwin & Browning and Right Management.
Leslie serves on a number of boards, including Junior Achievement of Georgia, FaithBridge Foster Care and Voices for Georgia’s Children. She also is on the advisory board of the CFO Forum in Atlanta and on the Business Advisory Council of the University of Dayton School of Business. Leslie is a prior CFO Forum honoree, having received its Annual Preeminence Award. She graduated from the University of Dayton.
